What We Believe

God exists in three persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The Bible is God’s divinely inspired Word to us.

Sin separated all man from God.

God being loving, holy and just, gave His Son, Jesus Christ to reconcile man back to God, and that only through believing in Jesus Christ can one be reconciled back to God.

Our Lord Jesus while being fully God, came to live on earth as a man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life and was delivered up on a cross to be crucified, where He died. At the cross he took all of our sins and the penalty, curse and condemnation from sin. He was resurrected because of the full payment on our behalf, resulting in justification for the believer. This work was a once and for all time atoning sacrifice for all of man’s sins.

God has raised His Son Jesus who is now seated at the right hand of the Father, as our High Priest, Advocate and Mediator.

Belief in the finished work of Jesus results in salvation and righteousness for the believer. This salvation is a gift and is to be received – it cannot be earned. This righteousness is through faith alone.

The Holy Spirit lives in all believers and guides, comforts, blesses and empowers a believer.

Water baptism is an outward declaration of the belief that we share in our Lord Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection; our old nature has been put to death and that we now exist as new creations.

Partaking in the Holy Communion is to help believers celebrate and remember the death of our Lord Jesus and what it has done for us.

That our Lord Jesus’ redemptive and reconciliatory work for us has opened up the way for us to prosper in all areas of our life – the very intention of God who is love. We are called to preach this good news to the world as we await the return of our Lord Jesus as He promised.

Our History

We were previously known as New Creation Brisbane, which was initially founded in 2011 by Pastor Percy Campbell. In October 2019, Pastor Percy decided to hand over the leadership of the church to Pastor Joey Tai.

In October 2020, the church was renamed Radiant Church Australia and continues to operate in Brisbane.

Our Pastoral Team

Radiant is led by Pastor Joey Tai, who originally comes from Singapore. He is married to his beautiful wife Daisy, who is from South Korea. They have 3 delightful children – Theodore, Sophie and Charis Jubilee.

Pastor Joey grew up in a Christian family but first came to understand the gospel of grace through the ministry of New Creation Church Singapore and Pastor Joseph Prince in the early 2000s. He came to Australia for his studies in 2007 and he found favour by meeting his wife Daisy – and the rest as they say, is history! They first attended New Creation Brisbane in 2012 and have been serving in various roles since.
